I wonder what kind of symbolism they’re trying to get at

Because Christianity is an uncommon religion in Japan we thought it would be mysterious. None of the staff who worked on Eva are Christians. crying is so therapeutic and i truly love it. unfortunately i’ve gotten so good at bottling my grievances up, its a physical strain to let myself cry at this point.
